PMC was called upon to get involved with a fast-paced project in Eugene, OR to remodel a mothballed VA clinic to make it usable as a COVID-19 care facility for homeless patients. Crews worked 7 days a week up to 14 hour shifts for 2 ½ weeks to complete this project ahead of schedule and below our original budget. The project consisted of: converting 2 offices into 3 full restrooms, demo tub in existing restroom and convert to shower; demo existing 2 water heaters and piping and replace with 2 new gas units and all new piping; install 2 new black flow preventers at service connection; replace 2 AHU units on the roof and service and repair the remaining 10 rooftop units; install new HEPA filters, booster fans and filter boxes in the existing interior duct for the 13 rooftop units, install exhaust fans and ducting in 3 new restrooms, install all new thermostats for rooftop units. Utilizing our sheet metal fabrication shop was critical in keeping the project on schedule. Quick turnaround and working closely with subcontractors were crucial and resulted in success on this fast paced, technical, and paperwork heavy project.
